About the Game

Stacking Mars is a strategic card-stacking game where you terraform the Red Planet through clever resource  management and card combinations. But beware - as you progress, mysterious glitches in the terraforming system create unexpected challenges and opportunities!

The Goal

Transform Mars into a habitable world by completing increasingly challenging terraforming objectives across 5 levels:

  - Level 1: Deliver 8 Water cards to raise the temperature

  - Level 2: Build 5 Habitats to establish atmospheric pressure

  - Level 3: Cultivate 10 Algae colonies for oxygen production

  - Level 4: Grow 6 Forests to develop the ecosystem

  - Level 5: Create 3 complete Ecosystems for final terraformation

  How to Play

  - Drag & Drop: Click and hold cards to move them around

  - Combine Cards: Overlap two compatible cards and wait for the combination timer

  - Buy Booster Packs: Drag packs from the shop to the play area (costs Gold)

  - Sell Cards: Drag unwanted cards to the red Sell Zone for Gold

  - Deliver Cards: Drag required cards to the Terraforming Station

  - Time Controls: Play/Pause/Fast-Forward buttons to control game speed

The Glitch System

As you manipulate Mars' environment, the terraforming AI occasionally malfunctions:

Decimal Glitch Trigger: Accumulate over 15 Gold in Level 1
Effect: Gold counter develops fractional values - a sign the system is breaking down
Solar Flare Trigger: Random chance in Level 2
Effect: Metal cards transform into Magnetite
Bio-Mutation Trigger: Advanced levels
Effect: Organic resources mutate unpredictably

  - Mars Stone + Mars Stone = Ore

  - Ice + Heater = Water

  - Ore + Smelter = Metal

  - Metal + Energy = Energy Cell

  - Metal + 3D Printer = Components

  - Components + Components = Structure

  - Metal + Energy Cell = Heater

  - Mars Stone + Energy Cell = Smelter

  - Ice Scanner + Rover = Ice Mine

  - Drill + Mars Stone = Stone Quarry

  - Drill + Ore = Ore Mine

  - Magnetite + Atmosphere Processor = CO2 Extractor

  - Solar Panel + Components = Reactor

  - Reactor + Components = Atmosphere Processor

  - Structure + Energy = Habitat

  - Energy Cell + Structure = Energy

  - Reactor + Energy Cell = Energy

  - Water + Nitrogen = Nutrient Solution

  - Nutrient Solution + CO2 Tank = Algae Colony

  - Atmosphere Processor + Algae = Algae (Duplikation)

  - Algae + Water = Algae (Duplikation)

  - Soil + Seeds = Grass

  - Grass + Water = Forest

  - Grass + Animals = Grass (Duplikation)

  - Forest + Animals = Ecosystem

Basic Equipment (2 Gold)

  - Rover, Drill, Mars Stones

  - Perfect for starting resource extraction

Atmosphere Kit (3 Gold)

  - Heater, Ice Scanner, Ice blocks

  - Essential for water production

In my opinion the game is very polished and i like your take on theme! Finding card combonations was fun but i wish there were a quick sell option and a easier way to find card combos. Great game!

yeah, I would loved to do such stuff but my time was very limited. basically one day was blocked because I was on a trip with my family. 

quick sell: you can pause the game and still move and sell stuff. so there's a option to get a quick break from the chaos :) 

Why would you submit if you still have a lot of time? Game is clearly unpolished and could really use some more time. You're clearly a good game developer just could have spent some more time on it
